Mulberry silk is the highest quality of silk

This yarn comes from the silkworm. The caterpillar spins a very fine and uniform thread. In nature this is almost pure white. The cocoons are collected before hatching. This allows to unwound  the silk thread  from the cocoon  in once.

This silk is for your finest - scarves, shawls, cardigans, Snoods, Loops, gloves, hats, baby clothes, sweaters, .... So a sense of luxury for you

Silk is not only beautiful on the optics ago, it offers an even optimal comfort.
However, silk is also demanding in care than other substances.

Recommendations for care

Silk is a protein and is comparable with our hair. So should apply - what we do not want to hurt us, we will not want to hurt our silk. There are commercially special silk shampoo for cleaning but I use a high quality hair shampoo.
  • Never spray the silk with perfume or deodorant
  • Do not expose silk for a long time strong sunlight directly

My Grannies Housewives Tips

Hand washing is possible.
Wet silk is very sensitive and therefore handle them carefully.
  • Wash Maharaja Lace yarn only in lukewarm water,
  • move the silk to the water easily - without soaking,
  • to remove all soap residue flush in cold water with a dash (teaspoon) of vinegar (colorless),
  • then roll it in a towel to remove the moisture,
  • unroll the silk, gently pull into shape (if necessary) and dry flat,
  • If necessary, moderately warm iron from the left (backside)
  • Never moisten silk with steam or a spray bottle,  (you get water stains that only can be removed by washing)
